Chrysler Problems: Driving Fashion - What To Wear In The Car As you step out of your home into your new Chrysler 300C, what you are wearing might not be the first thing on your mind. But it should be. That's why it seems a bit careless and odd to talk about "what to wear" in your car. But we aren't talking about fashion and how to look good. What we are talking about is what you should wear to ensure that your driving experience is as safe and as comfortable as it can possibly be. Obviously, it's going to a matter of what you feel comfortable in, but there are some general rules that many people just don't consider when driving a luxury vehicle. One of the most important items of clothing when driving is sensible shoes. You could drive barefoot, which isn't illegal here, but be warned that some insurance claims could be complicated if you have an accident while driving barefoot. It's much easier to avoid the problem and just have a pair of sensible shoes to wear when you drive.
If you're driving a very safety-conscious make like Chrysler, problems are much more like to come as a result of driver error rather than the fault of the car. Even so, you could consider buying a pair of driving gloves to give yourself more control over the steering wheel. They really make a difference, giving you extra grip and a more assured feel. If you've never tried them, ignore the fashion police and give them a go. It might seem obvious, but it's really important that you don't wear something restrictive to your movements while driving. In an increasingly fashion-conscious world it's not uncommon to see people driving in any number of obscure items of clothing. Fashion is certainly important, but safety surely has to take precedence. Coats with overly-long sleeves that flap around the gearshift or get caught on the door handle, flip-flops that catch under the accelerator and wearing sunglasses at night: it's not cool. We've tried to avoid the cliché here, but the one thing you always need to wear in the car is your seatbelt. All the other problems are insignificant if you drive without a seatbelt. Ensure that if the worst happens you are wearing your belt - even at low speeds it will make driving much safer. Remember that Chrysler's advanced multi-stage airbags will be completely ineffective without a seatbelt to hold you back. So buckle up, or clunk-click every trip - whichever you like. It's the one thing that's always cool to wear when driving.
