CROSSFIRE
Engine
Under the Crossfire Coupe’s and Roadster’s bonnet is a 3.2L 90-degree V6, 18-valve SOHC engine delivering 160 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque. That means that if you want to show people how fast the new Chrysler Crossfire looks, you may actually need to slow down so they can see more than just the blur.
Cockpit Design
Interior sophistication comes standard on the new Chrysler Crossfire where the centre spine design theme is carried from the outside in to create the twin cockpit design. From the interior, the centre spine appears to continue from the centre console through the instrument panel, windshield and on to the bonnet. So while the exterior environment may appear hostile, your driving environment will be spacious, elegant and give you the authority to command the road.
Spoiler
If you thought this vehicle looked fast standing still, wait until you see it get up to speed. While Crossfire’s speed will have you gripping the wheel, Crossfire’s spoiler will have you hugging the road.
The long ribbed bonnet, hunkered-down roofline and sweeping rear pillars, leading to the distinctive boat tail and the massive, sculptured rear wings are all retained from the original Crossfire concept vehicle, as is the unique body side crossover line (which gives rise to the name). It starts as a concave, indented crease behind the front wheel arch and crosses over the car’s flanks – ‘crossing’ to a convex crease mid-door – then sweeps back to highlight the edge of the rear wings and delineate the tail lamp clusters. Uncompromising yet refined, the Chrysler Crossfire is design in motion.
